My name is Liv. I have been a CAPPA-certified labor doula since 2015 in the Denver Metro area, as well as a postpartum doula since 2016.
I am a Colorado native born and raised in Golden, newly married and due with our first little one come July this year. I have degrees in both African Dance and Elementary education from CU. I enjoy all things Colorado – skiing, hiking, camping and really anything that includes the outdoors and our two wonderful pups.
My journey to becoming a birth worker probably began as a very young child, with a love and small obsession for all things baby and mama related. I’ve spent my life caring for families, babies and children, which eventually led me to becoming a labor doula as soon as I found out that was a possibility. And, while I’ve always felt a strong pull to nurturing infants, I found a new love in taking care of mothers and new families as I grew deeper into my work. Being a doula has been one of the greatest joys of my life and I feel so privileged to help educate, support and guide mothers and families into birth and beyond. I strongly believe every mother deserves to be mothered as she experiences labor and motherhood herself. Watching women bring life into the world through strength, power and love has transformed me, and I hope to pass on the knowledge and wisdom I’ve been given through these experiences to each mother I work with.
