Erika Jones, CLD CPD CLE
Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, Sleep Specialist, and Lactation Educator
My name is Erika Jones and I am a Certified Labor Doula, Certified Lactation Educator, Certified Postpartum Doula and owner of House of Doula. I have been working in the world of birth and postpartum since 2007, supporting over 300 families. When this work found me years ago, all the bells and whistles were sounding since I have always had a passion for and enjoyed helping families. Now I can show them how to see the beauty in their birth and baby experiences, even the challenging ones.
With my extensive experience in a variety of birth settings, I am very able to help you feel confident and comfortable with wherever you choose to birth. I offer practical, real-world birth education and hands-on bodywork during your labor and birth. My birth package includes 1-2 prenatal visits, which include “mama-maneuvers” to help you in active labor. I take my time to show you techniques to help your baby move down and exercises for you to more easily get your baby out. I’m there for the BIG ONE (birth) and until baby has settled with you and your partner. Then you get 1-2 postpartum visits in your home. These visits include breastfeeding support, tips and tricks how to wear your baby, infant sleep support and so much more.
I also offer extensive support once you come home. These first days with a new baby (babies) can sometimes feel very long and overwhelming. I will teach you how to understand the needs of your baby and show you the lessons I’ve learned along the way as a professional. I love sharing this wisdom with you as you grow and transition as a family.
In birth, I am your Sherpa up Mount Everest. You want the guide who knows the best paths to take to get you where you want to go. I am that guide. I am your fairy godmother in postpartum. I live south of Denver with my husband and two boys and we enjoy family time and especially taking the kids to the mountains.
“Having our doula, Erika, there at our birth was the best money we have ever spent. She was compassionate and knew exactly what my wife needed to help our daughter be born. We will use her again.”
